Fat Shaming is a topic that really hits home for me, so I wanted to do it justice in a video. I share my personal experience with it and what the science says. I’ve been a lot of different shapes and sizes at the beginning of a new year (a month to month recap of 2020 is on my story ♥️) and I just want to throw in my two cents as the entire internet bombards you with New Year’s resolution fitness goals.
.
Many of you might want to lose weight or have goals of getting shredded, but I just hope that with everything I have shared through my journey, you realize that being shredded does not always bring happiness (or health for that matter) 🙅🏻‍♀️ And it can bring a lot of unwanted problems as well as really impact your quality of life.
.
And of course I’m not saying there is anything wrong with body composition goals...I just don’t recommend striving for the unsustainable. That’s all. 🙏 Because once you get there, what you have to do to maintain it just isn’t worth it.
.
In the past, losing a bit of body fat (even when I didn’t need to) or growing muscle in a certain area, were the things on my radar when it came to setting a goal...but for this year, I just want to be healthy. Therefore I declared 2021 “The Year of Health” (which equally includes both physical and mental health.) Simple as that.
.
Basically if it doesn’t make me healthier or promote health, I’m not doing it. ‘Nough said. So cheers to a New Year! 🥂It’s 2021 baby, hopefully we can make it a good one...I mean we can only go up from here! 🎉♥️😘

2020 is almost over...finally 😓 So here I am, j

2020 is almost over...finally 😓 So here I am, just want to document and share a little life update and despite being in a mandatory quarantine the past two weeks, she’s still thriving!✨💁🏻‍♀️
.
Ya girl is currently 1 Year + 7 months All In (for those keeping track ☺️) and I’m eating intuitively and to satiety as normal. I weigh about +20lbs (9kgs) above my starting weight, my weight has stabilized here and I’ve been feeling really good! Appetite is low to moderate and honestly much better since reuniting with Jeff here in Canada. He helps me feel less anxious.
.
And if you missed it, I’ve been in a mandatory quarantine due to traveling, unable to leave the house even for a walk around the block for fresh air...so I’m feeling a bit stir crazy. 2020 be like that though 🙃 On the bright side, I’m finally free!! Right in time for 2021!
.
I got in some workouts in the basement with no other exercise or cardio unless you consider puzzles an exercise...I mean some of the hard ones might qualify 🧩🤔 I actually don’t normally do any cardio except for going for walks, so now that I can finally do that, I’m way too excited to stroll around the block for the first time since being here 💃🏻 But in all honesty, quarantine was totally fine and it was a necessary part of traveling to be with Jeff, so I’m not mad at it.
.
But it’s down to the final days of the year and I’m sure basically all of humanity is looking forward to leaving 2020 behind. I’m curious if you guys are optimistic about 2021 or just meh about it so you don’t get expectations up too high? I think I fall into the former, my optimism only slightly outweighing my skepticism 🤔
.
Lastly (hella long caption) I hope you all had an amazing holiday hopefully with loved ones. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for your support every step of my journey. Love you guys so much ♥️

Sadly @jeffnippard and I spend way more time apart than we would like, but I’m here in Canada with him and that’s all that matters 🙏☃️ If you are in a long distance relationship, I feel your pain 😞
.
To make things easier on us, Jeff moved from the West Coast of Canada to Toronto, so thankfully it’s a lot closer to Florida. I’m currently in a mandatory 14 day quarantine, which has so far been filled with lots of puzzles and movies...and I’m definitely not mad about it ♥️
