After driving in Manhattan, I now fully understand the meaning of traffic 😵‍💫 But needless to say, NYC is absolutely worth the hype. New York has been on my bucket list for sooo long - I’ve actually seen very little of the US. Assuming I’ve only been to FL, NOLA, LA, and now NYC, where else should I visit in the US? 🤔

I wish I could sprinkle a little bit of Wallie on anyone who needs a dose of happiness, because no matter how stressed or down I’m feeling, she always knows how to make me feel better. I might be a caretaker for her physical needs, but she’s mine for my mental needs. And if I ever need an example of how to be a better and kinder person, I can always look to my mom. She is and always will be the most special person I know.

Hello hi!! Happy New year!! 🎉 Just wanted to give you guys a little update from ya girl 😘⠀⠀⠀⠀
✔️Training Full Body 3x/week and still loving it. I’ve been running a super minimal routine for ~6 months and it’s really revived my love for the gym. It doesn’t feel like a burden when it’s only 45 min a few times a week 👍🏼
✔️Eating intuitively has become second nature to me and just feels easy. It takes a long time to break old habits (like delaying breakfast and fearing certain foods) but now, I eat in way that I never thought was possible for me. I’m so proud of myself 😇
✔️During my PhD, I slept ~3 hrs a night (if I was lucky), so no one appreciates sleep more I do. I have no excuse not to get at least 7hrs a night, and I know how important is it for my health - so sleep is non-negotiable 🫡
✔️Confidence is high!!! I’m feeling sooo good in my body 😊 I don’t weigh myself and I don’t self depreciate (at least not seriously). I’m just kind and positive to my body. I’ve graduated from body neutral and well on my way to being full blown body positive 👩🏻‍🎓👏🏼

3.5 years All In and the last thing on my mind whe

3.5 years All In and the last thing on my mind when New Year’s rolls around is losing weight. However, I’m secure enough in my mental health to admit that when it’s all everyone is talking about, I find it a little triggering. So if you’re in the same boat, just know you’re not alone ♥️
⠀⠀⠀⠀
So during this time of year, I’m going to to do what I do best. Eat Oreos if I want them, eat meals when I’m hungry, and listen to my body. Yes, I weigh about 25 pounds more than my pre-All in body, but I’ve never been more comfortable in my own skin.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
No shade to anyone who is planning to start a diet today; I am extremely understanding of the fact that everyone is in a different place in their journey. I would never judge and strongly believe everyone is entitled to do whatever they want with their body. So if you want to lose weight, I support you. Likewise, I hope you support me 🙏🏼

PS…Tips if weight loss (and talk of weight loss) is triggering to you:

☑️ Decrease time on social media this week
☑️ Increase time doing hobbies that bring you joy
☑️ If you are caught in a discussion about New Year’s weight loss goals with coworkers, friends or family - politely engage and be supportive without talking about your goals; remind yourself that everyone is in a different phase of their life than you; you should support your loved one’s decisions and goals as they should support yours.
☑️ You focus on you and your own goals. Especially if those goals are food freedom and intuitive eating.
☑️YOU FOCUS ON YOU (it bears repeating)

Life Lately 🥰♥️

Ummm can we just take a moment and talk about where 2022 went? 🧐 Personally, I didn’t have any specific goals for the year, more or less just a shift in mentality. I wanted to make 2022 “the year of health” and only do things that improved both my physical and mental health - and I think I 100000% did that.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
However, looking back it was more “the year of RELATIONSHIPS” ♥️ Which positively affected my health and significantly impacted my happiness.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
☑️ I continued to improve my relationship with food
☑️ I continued to improve my relationship with Jeff ☺️💍
☑️ Improved my relationship with my family & close friends
☑️ And my relationship with you guys, who I also consider friends and an enormous support group 🙏🏼
⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m gonna make the most of what’s left of 2022, continuing to build and grow my relationships, and of course continue doing it forever 🫶🏼
